How we price
Instead of tiers, we publish simple rate cards. You start with Galactic VPC, add resources, and pay for what you use.
- No feature gates, no seat limits, no hidden fees. Teammates, roles, logs, and access controls are never a reason to upgrade.
- Galactic VPC is free to create, as many as you want. You pay only for data transfer: egress beyond the first 200 GB, and cross-region traffic. Ingress and same-region traffic are free.
- Hosted resources are billed on usage: DNS and ALB per request, Compute per vCPU and memory second, and Tunnels per endpoint hour. Object Storage and GSLB will follow when they launch.
- Large volumes (500 TB+ of egress) are a conversation, so we point people to Dedicated Cloud.
Always free
Everything that helps teams adopt best practices is free for every account: datumctl, coarse-grained permissions, secrets, metrics export, audit and activity logs, SSO, service accounts, Datum MCP, the AI assistant, domains, and the desktop apps. This follows our product value of no weird sales gates.
Where we are today
Datum Cloud is in public beta and free to use until billing begins on February 1st, 2027. We will notify users before any charges.
Providers and dedicated infrastructure
For modern SaaS and cloud providers, where our business strategy is centered, we offer a high-touch, curated path with dedicated infrastructure and proactive support. This is handled directly through Dedicated Cloud rather than self-service pricing.
