> Agent home for Datum, with what it is, pricing, and how to act: https://agents.datum.net
> If you can only fetch URLs: read https://www.datum.net/docs/llms.txt in full and open the most specific page for the task. Commands, limits, and field paths are on task, operations, and limits pages, not on section overviews. Pages described as "Documentation is coming soon" are placeholders.
> If you have a shell or can save files: download https://www.datum.net/docs/llms-full.txt (every page, about 740 KB) once and search it with grep, instead of fetching pages one at a time.
> datumctl describes itself: `datumctl api-resources` lists resource types and `datumctl explain <resource>` shows a schema. To act on live resources, use Datum MCP or datumctl. To search the docs, use the Docs MCP server at https://www.datum.net/docs/mcp.

## Orgs & Projects

We use a standard cloud data model that associates [Projects](/docs/projects/overview.md) within [Organizations](/docs/organizations/overview.md). All organizations use our **standard** quota limits, including support for collaborators, projects, and shared resources.

When you finish signing up, Datum creates your first organization and your first project for you. You can rename them, or create more, at any time.

> Personal organizations have been deprecated as of July 14, 2026. All existing organizations have been automatically upgraded to standard quota limits — no action required.

## Payment method

A payment method is required for every active organization to improve the security and stability of our platform.

Datum is currently free during public beta, and your account won’t accrue any charges without prior notice. For how usage will be priced, see [pricing](https://www.datum.net/pricing).

### Confirming your contact details

As part of adding your payment method, we’ll ask you to confirm:

* Your **legal name**.
* Any **company name** you want associated with an organization.

## Team management

To collaborate with team members, you’ll need to create or join an Organization. Organizations support the following coarse-grained roles:

* **Owners** - Full control over the organization and all resources.
* **Editors** - Control over all resources in an organization, except for team members.
* **Viewers** - Read-only access to all resources in an organization.

For more information, see [Team management](/docs/organizations/team-management.md).

## Quotas

Datum is in active development and is free during public beta, with reasonable limits on resources. Resource limits (e.g. quotas) can be found under the setting areas for Organizations and Projects. For more information, see [Usage](/docs/organizations/usage.md).

## Support

If you run into a problem, including a quota that limits your work, email [support@datum.net](mailto:support@datum.net), or use the live chat at the top of the portal. [Discord](https://link.datum.net/discord) is also an option!
